As I launch into Phase III of my life, I’m working on my thoughts about how to best serve you in this next year. The list below is what I’ve got at the moment. It’s exciting stuff and I’ve hit the ground running this week. As with all plans, it’s loose and flexible so I can stay open serving. Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

The Book

First up? Finish my LONG overdue book, Why I Failed in the Music Business and How NOT to Follow in My Footsteps. Blogging and finishing this book are my two primary goals for January.

  • Once complete and edited, I plan to self-publish through Lulu so I can offer it to you at a reasonable price.
  • I also plan to offer a condensed version free as an e-book and download. It’ll cover the 8 reasons I failed and 8 “how not to follows”.
  • There will also be a workbook available in the Spring which’ll be offered as a stand alone item or as part of an expanded version of the book.

Seminars

  • I’ll also be offering video and/or audio lessons on each of the 8 sections of the book. I’ll be researching delivery methods this month so look for more info soon. My goal is to offer you 10 to 20 minute, entertaining and informative explanations of each of the concepts.
  • I may offered condensed and expanded versions of this content too.

Coaching

  • As the year progresses, I’ll be offering group and one-on-one coaching too. I’m still organizing my thoughts on this one, but I know I want to offer more personalized help to those that are serious about their careers.

Lastly, I’ll offer two other version of Why I Failed because I believe the material is important for non-musicians too.

  • The first will be for artists in the broader sense: dancers, painters, sculptors, actors, etc.
  • The second will be for everyone facing their first job/career regardless of field. I’ve realized that most folks fresh out of school have no idea what it takes to succeed in “the real world.” This book will be for them.

So, two questions:

  1. Any suggestions on how I can best pull these off and help you this next year?
  2. Any thoughts and ideas I missed?
